My name is Ryan Sample, I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in May 2016. I originally sought a degree in computer science in an attempt to learn how to write software for robotics; after several computer science classes I developed a new interest in web application development and software engineering. My Junior year of college I was fortunate to find a job on campus developing mobile applications for Southern Illinois University's Office of Information Technology; during my time there I was able to work in various stages of software lifecycles on several different projects. My final year of my undergraduate career had me engineering, alongside two other developers and several clients, a web interface for researchers to compute genomic assemblies on a distributed computer on campus.
Outside of the classroom I was an active member of Southern Illinois University's chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery(ACM). While in ACM I participated in HackIllinois, helped run SalukiLAN, and participated in several other projects. I was also the president of the Men's Ultimate Frisbee team where I was responsible for the operations of the team.
